1. I need to see you

To accurately portray your character, I need to see you. Preferably in picture form.

These pictures should show you in various positions and with various expressions so I see your full range of emotion.

If you have an Instagram account dedicated to yourself or that you share with hoomans or another species, please send me your account name.

Your account name is the thing that starts with this magical symbol:

If you have never seen that symbol before, then you probably don’t have an Instagram and you should use the next option for showing yourself to me.

Next Option:

You can respond to the Interweb mail and attach at least 10 photographs for my viewing pleasure. More is preferable, but 10 is the minimum I am willing to work with.

2. I need to know you

Who are you?

What are you?

Why are you?

How are you?

Really, how are you? I hope you are doing well.

I need to know everything about you that you are willing to share with me. I realize some things are too personal to share since we don’t know each other that well (yet!), but a portrait is a window into the soul. So, I need to know your soul.

Try to write at least a paragraph about yourself.

Two paragraphs is better.

Two pages is prodigious.

Two novels is … way too much. That’s too much sharing.

3. I need to understand desires

This is the part where you tell me things you want me to know.

Perhaps you share an Instagram with others and you want to make sure I draw the right species.

Perhaps you want my art to become a tattoo design so you need it in a general shape that fits on an elbow.

Perhaps you need your portrait before the year 2024.

Perhaps you had a bad experience with a certain ball, so you don’t want to be drawn with said ball.

Perhaps you are commissioning this portrait to commemorate a certain event that I should know about.

Tell me things.

I do not know what I do not know.

I also don’t know what I want for a snack. Please give me a snack suggestion as well.
